BARRETT SPROWL

Mr. Sprowl is responsible for leading due diligence efforts and evaluating and executing investments, divestitures and recapitalizations on behalf of The Gores Group. Since joining the firm in 2010, Mr. Sprowl has had experience across the technology, business services, industrial / building materials and healthcare industries. Prior to joining Gores, Mr. Sprowl was an investment banker with UBS where he executed M&A, equity and debt transactions for clients primarily in the technology and business services industries. Mr. Sprowl holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Corporate Finance, cum laude, from the Marshall School of Business of the University of Southern California. He was also a member of the university’s varsity baseball team.

Edward Johnson

EDWARD JOHNSON

Mr. Johnson is a member of Gores’ investment committee and is responsible for leading the execution and negotiation of Gores acquisitions and divestitures. Prior to joining Gores, Mr. Johnson was a Managing Director and Investment Committee member of DLJ Merchant Banking Partners III and IV, and DLJ Growth Capital Partners I. Prior to joining DLJ, Mr. Johnson worked for E.M Warburg Pincus & Co, LLC., The Boston Consulting Group, and Chevron Corporation. Mr. Johnson has a Bachelor of Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Andrew Freedman

ANDREW FREEDMAN

Mr. Freedman is responsible for portfolio company financial and operational oversight and controls as well as leading due diligence activities. Prior to joining Gores, Mr. Freedman was CFO of The Learning Company, where he helped lead a successful turnaround and sale of the company. Mr. Freedman held various financial management roles at The Learning Company, Broderbund and Mindscape from 1994 to 2002. From 1988 to 1994, Mr. Freedman held various financial management positions at Paramount Communications. Prior to 1988, Mr. Freedman spent four years in public accounting. Mr. Freedman earned a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from the State University of New York at Binghamton.

JENNIFER KWON CHOU

Jennifer Kwon Chou is Senior Managing Director & Chief Strategy Officer of The Gores Group. Ms. Chou oversees firm strategy and the development of new products and partnerships for the firm. She also has management responsibilities over the firm’s origination, capital raising, external communications, and corporate development functions. Since joining Gores in 2010, Ms. Chou has been responsible for raising capital across Gores’ funds.

Prior to joining Gores, Ms. Chou was a Director at Sterling Partners, a private equity firm based in Chicago. Prior to Sterling, she worked in capital markets at Lehman Brothers in New York. She began her career at Public Financial Management and the Vanguard Group.

Ms. Chou currently serves as a Board Member of the Boys & Girls Club of Venice, a Los Angeles-based non-profit. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and also received an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management where she was a Robert Toigo Fellow.

Cathy Pollard

CATHERINE POLLARD

Ms. Pollard joined The Gores Group in 1996 and has held various finance positions within TGG and its portfolio. She has previously led the finance functions of the firm and has been involved in a significant number of Gores’ transactions, both purchases and sales, with responsibility for financial due diligence, operational oversight, deal structure and negotiation. Prior to joining Gores, Ms. Pollard spent 13 years in public accounting and was a partner with Freedman & Goldberg, a certified public accounting firm located in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Ms. Pollard earned her B.S. in Accounting from Western Michigan University.

MARK R. STONE

Mr. Stone is a member of Gores’ investment committee and is responsible for alternative investments. Prior to joining The Gores Group, Mr. Stone spent nearly a decade as a Chief Executive transforming businesses across the services, industrial and technology sectors. Mr. Stone spent five years with The Boston Consulting Group (“BCG”) as a member of their high technology and industrial goods practices and served in BCG’s Boston, London, Los Angeles and Seoul offices. Mr. Stone earned a B.S. in Finance with Computer Science and Mathematics concentrations from the University of Maine and an M.B.A. in Finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
