Mr. Crowell is part of the Gores Small Capitalization Operations Group and is responsible for portfolio company oversight and controls as well as operational due diligence activities. Mr. Crowell has more than 25 years leadership experience building collaborative, customer focused organizations, while driving profitable revenue growth in the technology sector. Prior to joining Gores, directly, Mr. Crowell served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Enterasys Networks, Inc. (a Gores portfolio company and wholly owned subsidiary of Unify) up until the company was acquired by Extreme Networks Inc. in November, 2013. Mr. Crowell joined Enterasys as Executive Vice President in 2006 shortly after the Gores Group took Enterasys private and was named CEO and President in 2009 where he was responsible for all aspects of running the business. While at Enterasys, Mr. Crowell drove a successful turnaround which included the acquisition of Chantry Networks for its WLAN capabilities.

Mr. Crowell first worked within the Gores Group via its former portfolio company, Aprisma Management Technologies. Aprisma was a spinout of Cabletron and was acquired by the Gores Group in 2002 where Mr. Crowell served as Chief Technology Officer and Vice President, responsible for Research and Development, IT, R&D, Services, Solution Engineering, Support and Training. The Gores Group successfully exited Aprisma through a sale to Concord Communications. Concord was shortly thereafter acquired by Computer Associates (CA) where Mr. Crowell served as Senior Vice President overseeing its network management product lines.

Earlier in his career Mr. Crowell held various levels of technical and senior management roles at Cabletron, Modicon, Computrol and General Electric. Mr. Crowell holds a MBA from Southern New Hampshire University, a Masters in Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a BSEE from Western New England University.
