Gores Technology Group Announces Agreement to Acquire Voicecom Telecommunications from Ptek Inc. Holdings

Los Angeles, California, March 27, 2002 - Gores Technology Group (GTG), a privately held international acquisition and management company, today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Voicecom, an integrated communications solutions provider, from Ptek Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: PTEK).

Voicecom, which has service offerings in messaging, unified communications, call answering, mobile calling and broadcast voice, owns a large private voice and data network in North America, which allows the company to deliver advanced voice messaging services through local numbers in more than 4,000 cities. In 2001, Voicecom processed more than 55 million messages and handled more than 515 million calls.
