This dedicated team of in-house operations professionals works exclusively with Gores' portfolio companies to drive lasting impact. The Operations team comprises former CEOs, CFOs, and industry leaders with deep and valuable expertise in critical areas of business. These include: operations, accounting, finance, sales and marketing, information technology, legal, supply chain management, human capital, insurance and risk management, and tax.
Gores' Operations professionals are actively involved throughout the life cycle of an investment—from the onset during due diligence, through the transformation process leading to an eventual exit. As a first step, Gores' operations professionals engage with the M&A team to evaluate a potential investment opportunity during the due diligence phase. They work closely with the company's management team to identify key opportunities and develop an operational blueprint specific to the unique challenges for that business. The operational blueprint is a long-term strategy and operating plan that lays out key milestones, definitive priorities, and tracking for main drivers of performance. Finally, with a hands-on approach core to Gores' DNA, the Operations team works with management to affect a shared goal: building stronger businesses and creating significant, measurable value for all Gores' stakeholders.
